In a world where addiction is tearing families apart, a young girl from Rajasthan has emerged as a beacon of hope. Lakshya, a 10-year-old student from Shri Ganganagar, is on a mission to rid people of addiction through the power of storytelling and theater.
A Mission Born from Tragedy
Lakshya’s journey began after witnessing the heartbreaking consequences of substance abuse in her own family. The tragic loss of a relative due to an overdose left a deep impact on her tender heart. While the adults mourned, Lakshya was left with many unanswered questions—why did this happen, and could it have been prevented?
When she sought answers from her father, she learned that addiction had robbed those children of their parent, leaving them orphaned and helpless. This moment of realization turned into a powerful resolve—she would do something to fight this menace.
Spreading Awareness Through Theater
With the support of her father, Vikram Jagyani, a theater director, Lakshya decided to use plays and performances as a medium to educate people about the dangers of substance abuse. Over the past few years, she has performed in over 300 street plays, helping more than 50,000 people pledge to give up their addictions.
Her performances vividly portray the emotional and physical destruction caused by drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. With gripping storytelling and hard-hitting dialogues, Lakshya compels audiences to reflect on their choices and consider a life free from addiction.

A Young Changemaker
Lakshya’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. She has been honored and recognized for her work in various forums, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to making a difference. Her passion and commitment have inspired many, and her initiative continues to gain momentum across Rajasthan.
Her story is a testament to the fact that real change often begins with a single step, a single voice, and an unwavering belief in the power of action.
The Road Ahead
Lakshya’s dream is to create a society where no child has to suffer due to the addictions of their loved ones. She urges people to take a stand against substance abuse and hopes that her plays will reach more communities across India.
Her father, Vikram Jagyani, sums up their mission beautifully: “Our goal is to create awareness so that the new generation stays away from addiction forever.”
Join the Movement
Lakshya’s story serves as a powerful reminder that anyone, regardless of age, can bring about meaningful change. If a 10-year-old girl can influence thousands to quit addiction, imagine what we can achieve together.
Let’s support and amplify her message. Say no to addiction and yes to a healthier future!
